Turkey Creek Watershed: Turkey Creek is a HUC 12 sub-watershed located in the Southwestern portion of the county.The main channel starts in DeKalb County and enters the county just east of Helmer flowing northwest and exits the county just north of Stroh. Turkey Creek then drains into the St. Joe River, which flows through Elkhart, Indiana, out letting into Lake Michigan. The area contains several lakes, of which Big Turkey Lake is the largest.
