Water Monitoring Kits

We have two water monitoring kits available for check out by those who are trained in water monitoring by Hoosier Riverwatch. The kits can be used to test the water quality of the inlet or outlet of a lake or stream that is near an owner’s property.

We also have a Dissolved Oxygen Meter available to use, which will measure the amount of oxygen available in your lake at various depths. This kit is provided through Indiana University.

Two E. Coli incubators are available for use. An incubator is an isolated storage place that is used for cultivating bacteria. The incubator maintains optimal temperature of the atmosphere inside it. The most commonly used temperature both for bacteria such as the frequently used E. Coli cells is approximately 37 °C, as these organisms grow well under such conditions. They also need a circulation system for equal distribution of heat in the box.

Please contact us to reserve a kit or with any questions you may have.
