The Steuben County Soil & Water Conservation Office has teamed up with the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation District’s Urban Soil Health Program to present a free Soil Health Workshop on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
This workshop is intended for gardeners and small-scale producers. Jamie Perry, Northeast Area Urban Soil Health Specialist, will discuss Soil Health 101, the importance of soil testing and sample collection procedures, and reviewing and interpreting the soil analysis. The Workshop will close with a presentation on Backyard Pollinators by Marissa Renz, a local grower and the owner of Plant Happiness.
The workshop is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. – noon at the Carnegie Public Library of Steuben County, located at 322 S. Wayne St., Angola. A free lunch will follow the workshop.
